Strategic African Securities (SAS)
SAS and World Trade Centre Accra (WTC Accra) are both sister companies promoted by Strategic Initiatives Limited (SIL). SIL is a private equity and portfolio investment firm, incorporated on March 13, 1998. It analyzes the investment environment and identifies for investment, undervalued and strategic opportunities that maximize its risk-reward objectives. The core business activities of SAS are securities trading, corporate finance advisory and investment research. As a new company, WTC Accra benefits tremendously from the established structures and track record of SAS to roll out most of its activities. Some of the notable SAS transactions worth mentioning are the Initial Public Offer (IPO) and the Rights Issue of Ghana Commercial Bank Ltd, the IPOs of Ecobank Ghana Ltd and Golden Star Resources, and the issue of the Government of Ghana’s Golden Jubilee Savings Bonds as well as the facilitation of the acquisition of Mobil Oil Ghana Limited by Total Ghana.
